6.1.2.4 Other Possible Anode Materials

Metal sulfides or nitrides were investigated to be anode materials in LIBs [123–125]. For instance, Park and colleagues [126] adopted the template-free approach to prepare the mesoporous molybdenum nitride (Mo2N) nanobelts. The as-prepared products showed a great rate performance and a high specific capacity for the insertion and desertion reactions of Li ions in comparison with the traditional Mo2N NPs. In recent years, Yusuke Yamauchi and colleagues [127] prepared the mesoporous manganese phosphonate (MnP) nanorods and used them as the anode materials in LIBs, which possessed a favorable capacity, great durability and excellent rate performance.
